I'll get right to the point: my curiosity got the better of me, and I had to see what this Drew Maggot character looked like after reading one of his childish articles on MSN. This boy definitely looks like the type that always used to be picked on in school, and always clung to his mother's skirt out in public. He talks a lot, but says very little. Please, somebody give this overgrown dork a lollipop! He is a good entertainer in the sense that he would no doubt put on a fantastic show performing in front of the psycho ward at Bellevue. Hey Drew, can I make a donation to your tired act? Just stick out your tin can, and I'll throw some spare change in it for you. How does that sound, you incoherent, babbling man-child?

Is it pejorative to call someone who breaks the laws of a country "illegal"? Would it be equally pejorative to say someone is an "illegal" firearm owner, or had purchased "illegal" drugs? The basic premise of Dan-el's speech seems to be that he had a difficult life as an illegal and as such, the U.S. should...not have an immigration policy? Should they instead have open borders? I think a relevant comparison to make would be if someone snuck into your basement or attic, and made a home for themselves there. They procured blankets, perhaps even a TV which they listened to quietly, and had a window which they could use to sneak in and out of without the owners of the house ever knowing they were there. Life would certainly be uncomfortable for this squatter, as they would live in perpetual fear of being caught and having to live on the streets. The question is, would *you*, upon finding this squatter, feel ashamed of the anxieties that they suffered as a result of having to hide each day? Would you also open your home to anyone who had suffered misfortunes to ensure they don't feel equally anxious? Or would you kick out the squatter and set up a security device of sorts, put a lock on your window, and do more routine checks of your attic/basement? Would you do so to ensure you could properly determine who came into your home, or perhaps to ensure nobody is driving up your electricity bill? The open borders argument that has been seemingly made by Dan-el is untenable, particularly over the longer term. Every government has a responsibility to prioritize its citizens first, and ultimately should only have a priority to take in those who are from a directly neighbouring country that are fleeing persecution from their own government.
